To The Shore's End
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android
My shadow shrinks to nothing, then it recoils as if noon had come twice.
I feel utterly lost here, in this world.
With you.
But you give us a purpose—the beach. You smile when you extend your hand to me.
How much of it is true? I’d know, but alas, the truth escapes my grasp.
Still, we go, hand in hand, in spite of the world’s silence.
Silence filled with despair and withered flowers.
Who knows what we’ll encounter, but regardless, we’ll face it with a smile.
Even when those lips are wet with cascading tears.

I know I'm a bit late to this game but I have to admit it's the best visual novel I've ever played it tops my list of favorites. While Tor's characterization is somewhat vague, the writing is superb, and the game offers remarkable depth regarding its time loop mechanics. Although the third ending feels a bit unresolved leaving player unclear about Tor background or appearance, it succeeds brilliantly in leberating both Ian and Tor from the tourment of the loop. It's a shame the game can't be replayed after reaching that third ending, but considering it signifies freedom from suffering for both characters, prehaps that is for the best. I hope that in the future, you'll create another game that sheds more light on Tor's character^^. Also , could you share a Discord link ? I noticed your Bluesky account but couldn't find a Discord link anywhere.
I’m really glad that the game resonates with you so deeply <3 Actually, Tor’s character and backstory is all detailed in draft, but due to limitations it wasn’t suitable to be implemented. That said, there is a coherent timeline shown through the postscripts of the story which I honestly hoped was enough but there are opinions that what is there is lacking.
Also, as of version 1.1, the game should have been coded to be replayable, you just need to open it again after the error screen if I remembered correctly. Of course, with the signification of the ending, I’ve also included a lore version as to why it is replayable.
For Discord, I currently do not have a server for my VN works, but I’m active in this one > https://discord.gg/nvt5my8J8E and my future works will likely be discussed there too.
Regarding that error screen I saw at the end of Ending 3—if I were to ignore it, would the game prevent me from playing again? I managed to reset the game using my own method, even though it was a bit of a hassle. Also, thanks for the Discord link; even though it isn't specifically for visual novels, it's still pretty good ^^
After the error screen either being ignored or upon closing and opening the game again, it should run as normal yeah, there’s also some minor things added in the replay, but nothing too important or drastic to the point that it would alter your experience of the game.
Thank you^^. I still hope you might create another game that gives Tor a chance to truly show himself. Although he is described quite clearly in the various endings, he is only actually visible in Endings 1 and 2—the ones we actively steered the story toward. In Ending 3, however, the player loses control and Tor takes the lead, yet we never get to see him; consequently, I’m not entirely sure what he looks like. I realize this is a long shot and might never happen, but I would love to see a scenario—perhaps in a parallel universe where they survived the accident, or in a future life—that explores what kind of personality and choices Tor would have ^^
I haven't cried this much in so long...this really hit me deep within my heart. The writing is amazing and so are the characters. I didn't expect this to be honest. The build up is such an amazing part of the story I really did cry all the tears I had.
SPOILERS:********8
I'm just a little confused on the nightmare parts, if I understand correctly its them right before they died? Also why didn't Ian vanish when Tor's wish got fulfilled if their wish was to fulfill Tor's wish... or maybe Tor didn't get to see that? This makes it even more sad omg....;(
Anyways...thanks for making this amazing game, really. <33
Spoilers answer:
Since Ian’s wish is to spend quality time “forever”, the journey cannot end. So when Tor’s wished was fulfilled he disappeared, but Ian’s wish was left unfinished so he stays, hence why the loop begins again and there are other endings. Thanks for reading <3
I just left a comment on the MAY WOLF section, but I wanted to say a couple things here too, outside of my thoughts on the VN which I believe beling there.
First of all, is there any profile on twitter/bluesky/wherever where I can follow, if any, future VNs made by the writer/programmer of the team? I think I really align with his work and I would love to watch some future projects.
Also, As a future translator (now that I am done with Uni), I would be happy to translate this story into Spanish if that is okay. Just for fun and practice, as a way to show that I really liked this project ^^
Hi, writer here!
Though I don’t post as of the moment, you can find me on Bsky (NSFW!) or Discord:
https://bsky.app/profile/keno7.bsky.social / passiv_boi
You can do fan translation as you like! However, if you were to post it anywhere, please give proper credit and provide a link to this original page <3
How do I reset game content to play again?
Spoiler Alert!
Unfortunately, you will have to redownload the game.
The third ending is a form of freedom, and our team decided that simply giving a replay button is like the user enabling the suffering again with their own hands.
Update! As of v1.1, you can now play again as you like!
We’ve made a MAY WOLF ‘25 #FurryVN Jam Superlative Form on Google Forms are posting it to everyone’s itch.io pages now.
Voting for the Superlatives ends when the clock strikes July 5’th in New York: https://forms.gle/URongEfqz4swkdFo8
Please contact us or Unagi if there’s an error.
SPOILERS AHEAD:
Oh my goodness, this page cleverly hides some secret text.😭😭
you could say that is a very
subtle foreshadowing
SPOILERS AHEAD:
I really liked the story and was really shocked when I accidentally found the text in the window (especially since I was playing at night XD)
